Repeat Perscriptions

How to Order

If you have signed up for online access, you can order your repeat prescriptions via this service, alternatively you can email lscicb-el.weaverspractice@nhs.net, post your request, telephone the surgery or pop your prescription in our post box labelled “Weavers Practice” located in the foyer of the Health Centre on the ground floor.

PLEASE ALLOW 2 WORKING DAYS (EXCLUDING WEEKENDS AND BANK HOLIDAYS) FOR A REPEAT PRESCRIPTION TO BE AUTHORISED.

Although most of our prescriptions are done electronically, they still need to be requested, checked and authorised by a GP.

At the moment you are unable to order “Acute” items (these are medicines which are prescribed as a one off for acute problems such as infections) via online access, so you will need to ring the surgery to order these.

It is important that you notify us of any changes to your medication, for example if you stop taking a drug or it has been changed or started elsewhere (hospital doctor) so we can keep your medical records up to date.

Pharmacies are no longer able to order prescriptions on a patient’s behalf.

EPS (Electronic Prescription Service)

When you have ordered your required medication via one of the above methods, it will be checked, authorised by a clinician, and then automatically sent electronically to a chemist of your choice. This will allow you to collect your prescription direct from the chemist, saving you time.

To nominate a chemist please ask one of our reception team to add your nominated chemist to your record.

You do not have to use a nominated chemist and can still choose to collect your prescription in person from the surgery, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic we would be grateful if you would consider using the EPS system to help keep us all (both patients and staff) safe and reduce the risk of spreading the virus.

Please note you can change your nominated chemist at any time.
